Slow Food DC’s event of the year, the 9th Annual Clyde’s Farm Dinner, is now on the books for Saturday, August 6 at 5 p.m. Our friend and patron, Clyde’s, has opened the barn door and garden gate to welcome Slow Food members and friends to a tour of their raised-bed garden—where all their veggies grow—and a five-course farm dinner. We will celebrate our local farmers by partying at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm, just off Route 267 near Dulles airport and Leesburg, VA.

A $100 voucher for dinner for two at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm will be auctioned off during the meal.

Menu and speakers to be announced. But hurry, this event ALWAYS sells out fast…really fast. Last year, all tickets were gone within 72 hours. Limit: 85 guests.

  1. Hi,
I had let my slow food membership lapse. I rejoined recently –husband and I –and I would like to be added to the DC convivium listserve and receive all emails,
    announcements etc….

PS….John has a small company marketing 100 percent sour dough rye bread.
In the fall, we would be happy to host a rye bread talk and event of some sort….

    Warm regards,

We live in Reston and have a couple of lodges which we rent out at the foot of old Rag Mt. in Etlan, VA which is 1 and 1/2 hours from DC. My husband & I would like to donate a Sunday afternoon to promote Slow Food & your talk about your bread along with a potluck. The participants could hike Old Rag or White Oak Canyon before the potluck if they so chose. It would be a fun & lovely day. Let me know if you are interested. Thank you, Geri & Gary Slack
